The Forgotten Leg: Why Logistics Is the Key to Unlocking Ag Supply Chain Efficiency

November 19, 2025
12:00 p.m. CST

The agriculture economy is entering a period of forced reckoning. While many cling to legacy habits, the most forward-thinking leaders are using this moment to redefine how their operations run—from capital strategy to logistics execution. This is more than about cutting costs. It’s about attacking inefficiency at its roots. In ag commodities, we often talk about the two dominant legs of the stool—Trade and Operations. But the third leg, Logistics, is frequently overlooked. This webinar explores how commodity companies can rethink logistics not as a cost center, but as a strategic lever for margin improvement, collaboration, and workflow automation. We’ll unpack the hidden inefficiencies in delivery and data capture—and show why now is the time to fix them.

Join this fireside chat style webinar for a candid, actionable session on how to rethink delivery networks, automate workflows, and build financial resilience. Whether you’re a grower, trader, or processor, learn how to turn downturn pressure into long-term dominance.

Key Takeaways:

  • The Three-Legged Stool of Ag Trading: Why Logistics deserves equal footing with Trade and Operations—and what happens when it’s ignored.
  • Unloaded Miles = Unused Margin: How fragmented delivery networks create waste, and how collaborative routing can flip the equation.
  • Zero-Based Process Review: Identify legacy workflows (like manual scale ticket tracking) and replace them with automated systems that improve asset utilization and reduce fixed costs.
  • Workflow Friction at Load & Unload: Why scale tickets, manual tracking, and siloed systems slow down payouts—and how to streamline them.
  • Data as a Strategic Asset: How capturing and automating load-level data can reduce errors, improve transparency, and speed up reconciliation…and even provide you an edge on margin.
  • Is Now the Time to Fix Logistics?: With rising costs, tighter margins, and more pressure on traceability, find out why logistics is the next frontier for innovation.
