GEAPS Exchange 2025: Getting Ahead of Breakdowns with Predictive and Preventative Maintenance

Session Description
Predictive and preventative maintenance are both crucial when it comes to catching issues before they turn into more costly disruptions to your operation. These issues include identifying misalignments and imbalances, but also diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems that could impact the health of your bearings, belts, pulleys, shafts, pumps, gearboxes, fans, motors, and more. Vibration analysis is a helpful tool as data collectors are used to analyze vibration problems in rotating equipment. Dynamic balancing can be used to correct imbalance conditions in that rotating equipment. Precision laser shaft alignment is also important to align motors, pumps, couplings and sheaves in integrated components.
Protect the value of your equipment and maximize its output by identifying and correcting machinery problems before they cause further damage and expense. These problems can be caught and diagnosed by using one of the following: laser shaft alignment, vibration analysis, motion amplification, remote monitoring, and dynamic balancing.
