Join us for this session to learn some best practices and new technologies for keeping yourself and your workers safe when loading barges at a grain elevator.

April Sloan has led the Cargill East St. Louis grain elevator, which includes a heavy focus on barge loading operations on the Mississippi River, for the last three years. She is a committee lead for an internal barge safety group that aims to drive efficiencies in the safety and operational space of barge handling and participates in a local safety group that brings various entities together to share and develop ideas to improve the safety of barge operations. April has a master’s degree in chemical engineering and brings over a decade of experience in operations and logistics to the grain industry.
