Registration Open for GEAPS Exchange 

GEAPS Exchange Set for February 24-27, 2024

Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) is excited to announce registration is open for GEAPS Exchange! The biggest and best show in the grain industry is coming to Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri, February 24-27, 2024.  

Save money by registering early! The full conference is $420 for members and $650 for nonmembers who register on or before Thursday, February 1. Rates will increase to $480 and $725 on February 2. An expo-only pass is free for members, but $50 for nonmembers.  

Chris Blair serves as chairman of GEAPS Board of Directors and is part of the Greater Iowa chapter. In his day job, Blair works as western district manager of NEW Cooperative. Many team members from NEW joined Blair at the 2023 Exchange and plan to attend in 2024.  

“My team members from NEW who attended said they got a lot out of the experience,” Blair said. “Networking, education sessions, walking the Expo floor—it helped them make contact with people outside of our area. Meeting people who sell the equipment we use was a highlight, too.”

GEAPS Exchange is the best way to see what is new in the industry and to find new equipment for your facility. The Expo Hall features hundreds of exhibitors, many of whom bring products to the show. Get your hands on the equipment and talk about how it fits in your plant. GEAPS members get free admission to the Expo Hall and lunch is provided for all attendees and exhibitors.  

The education schedule includes:  

• Keynote Speaker: 8 a.m., Sunday, February 25 
• Idea Exchange: 9:45 a.m., Sunday, February 25 
• Education Sessions: Monday, February 26 and Tuesday, February 27 

Sessions inside the Expo Hall include a grain entrapment rescue demo and interactive, small-group presentations on the four education tracks – maintenance, safety, employee development and grain operations.  

Reconnect with Friends  

GEAPS Exchange includes several fun social events that show off the character and flavor of the host city. All social events are located in Kansas City Convention Center. 

Social events include:  

• The Mixer (for international and first-time attendees): 6-7 p.m. Saturday, February 24 
• Get Acquainted Party: 7-10 p.m., Saturday, February 24 
• Welcome Reception: 4:30-6 p.m., Sunday, February 25 
• Closing Event/Music Bingo: 2-5 p.m., Tuesday, February 27 

Exchange Housing Options 

GEAPS has negotiated discounted room rates at hotel properties near the convention center. GEAPS’ housing management company, eShow, will handle all hotel reservations and inquiries. Reservations can be made while registering for the event.
