3,911 Attend GEAPS Exchange in Kansas City

Event Draws Attendees from 45 US States, 29 Nations
The Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) was pleased to welcome 3,911 attendees and 417 exhibitors for GEAPS Exchange 2025 February 22-25 at Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri, USA.
“It’s about the camaraderie,” said Jeff Trudell, GEAPS Intl Board Director, about the value of GEAPS Exchange. “It’s about the networking and it’s about seeing those people that maybe you only talk to on the phone or over email, but you never actually get to see in person.”
The program kicked off with a basketball-themed Get Acquainted Party at the College Basketball Experience where hundreds enjoyed shooting a few hoops, meeting old friends and making new ones.
Pamela Barnum’s keynote speech on tactical influence where she enlightened participants on how to interpret nonverbal cues as she shared stories from her time as an undercover police officer working in drug enforcement. Her presentation was a wonderful way to begin Exchange.
The event featured four education tracks this year designed to meet the needs of grain professionals: Grain Operations, Safety, Employee Development and Processing. Sessions included everything from dust explosion prevention to employee recruitment and engagement to facility improvements through automation. The grain processing track was new this year, providing information on a variety of soybean processing topics. GEAPS encouraged grain processor participation through the inaugural IOMSA Golden Ticket Award program which provided complimentary event registration fees and a travel stipend to professionals working at a processing facility. Attendees packed training rooms as they were able to focus on one track or sample them all.
In addition to great education, GEAPS Exchange included an Expo Hall filled with technology, products and services to make grain operations safer and more efficient as well as social events to help reinforce business relationships.
GEAPS also offered student events to highlight the great opportunities for the younger generation in ag-related careers. Paramount to the program was a student hiring event that worked to connect open grain company internships and entry-level positions with student professionals.
Finally, Exchange ended on a high note with Music Bingo. Participants sang and even danced their way to winning bingo cards and prizes donated by Exchange exhibitors and participants.
Exchange 2026 is scheduled for February 21-24 back at Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, MO. Booth sales for the event open later this year, with registration opening later in the fall. Watch GEAPS’ communication channels for more information.
